For
many years the phone companies around the world both privately and
government owned have interacted with each other in a way that gives us
a worldwide telephone service collectively known as the PSTN (Public
Switched telephone Network) it is made up of a surprisingly varied
amount of different types of technology housed in large expensive to
maintain buildings with huge workforces and massive overheads. No
wonder then that between themselves and the charges that they impose we
can expect varying rates and no solid guarantee of a stable reasonable
cost between so many different companies and governments all competing
with each other.
Enter David one very fed up impoverished
telephone user who decided that enough was enough and figured that
nobody else needed to suffer huge phone bills anymore either. So over
several years David put together his concept thoughts and technological
innovations to arrange for an advanced superfast network of computer
servers that were able to make and terminate calls in fractions of a
second across the world simply using a subscribers basic broadband
connection.
We now have in place TGN an infrastructure for
handling calls to and from the UK, Cyprus, and Australia with other
countries due to come on line on a regular basis. (Currently beta
testing for India, US and Pakistan)
Yes, you may THINK you have heard of such technologies before but this concept is VERY different in its nature...read on
Utilizing
the internet David considered that the subscriber of the internet
connection was already paying for the data being sent to and from their
connection so considered it unethical to charge per minute for calls
switched over their internet connection that they had already paid for
(unlike the big Telcos!) - the problem remaining was to ensure that the
service that switched the calls could be paid for, maintained and
expanded, so he decided to simply licence the network that the servers
controlled on an unlimited basis which also allows it to grow at an
optimum rate, initially a two year period will apply from the proposed
full service launch date on January 1st 2009 and this will be INCLUDED
in the Line box that will form the customers endpoint service. The cost
for subsequent licensing is anticipated at no more than £15 per year
starting January 1st 2012.
The service does NOT use the
PSTN at all and is in fact not defined as a telephone service as such
due to the nature of its design however the end user still needs to
feel comfortable with its use so it has been designed carefully to make
the service easy to use and very familiar.
Example:
Typically a group of TGN users living in London with contacts in Cyprus
and Australia would simply arrange between themselves to acquire a TGN
Line box, plug it in to their respective broadband connections then
simply dialling their respective telephone number would be able to
speak to each other EXACTLY as though they were calling through the
existing PSTN but WITHOUT the call charges. if you were in the same
country you would dial as though you were there and if you called
across to another TGN user in another country you would simply dial the
full international number as you would normally do.
TGN is a
truly unique network solely designed by David and currently licensed
for use to TGNuk as a new communications network that can handle vast
quantities of calls between registered users wherever they are
worldwide. Using a simple broadband connection and one of our approved
TGN line boxes It is designed to connect WITHOUT any call charges
whatsoever ! we licence the line box at the point of purchase for
UNLIMITED use on our unique TGN service for two years. STOP PRESS! "Initially
licences will start 1st January 2009 and expire December 31st 2011
which means ANY early takers get all of the remaining 2008 years usage
WITHOUT CHARGE. "This year, ending 31st December 2008 is our
